Xylus is a contemporary art studio that offers original artworks and fine art prints that are designed by humans, informed by code, and fabricated by three-axis machines.
Our process starts by modeling a three-dimensional object and then transforming that object into complex two-dimensional or hybrid digital drawings. From here, these digital drawings are brought to life using pen plotters, three-dimensional printers, and manual assembly.
Software used includes Rhinocerous 3D, Grasshopper, Houdini, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, and PrusaSlicer. Materials include various types of artist paper, inks, and paints.
